No, you don't need any gym experience. I tailor every session to your current fitness level and build your confidence from day one — most of my clients walked into PureGym Shiprow feeling exactly the way you might be feeling right now. Nervous is normal. We work through it together.
We train at PureGym Aberdeen Shiprow, AB11 5BW. It's a fully-equipped gym in the heart of Aberdeen, easy to reach from Old Aberdeen, Bridge of Don, and the city centre — with plenty of space and kit for whatever your programme needs.
It's a relaxed 20–30 minute chat at PureGym Shiprow where I listen to your goals, your lifestyle and your history, answer any questions, and sketch out what a plan could look like. No commitment, no pressure — you leave with clarity whether you sign up or not.
Absolutely — body confidence is my core specialism. I work with people who feel stuck, self-conscious, or frustrated with their progress, and help them rebuild trust in their bodies through structured training and steady, sustainable fat loss. Confidence doesn't come from punishment. It comes from showing up and watching yourself get stronger.
Most of my clients train two to three times a week to see meaningful change. I'll recommend a frequency that fits your schedule and goals in the consultation — consistency matters more than intensity, especially in the first eight weeks. We build the habit, then we build everything else.
I've coached football for five-plus years across ages four to sixty. That means I know how to adapt a session for any level, communicate in a way that actually lands, and keep you engaged when motivation dips. I'm not here to bark at you — I'm here to coach you properly, the way I'd want to be coached myself.
